Mobile flow calibration uses highly accurate reference meters and can be brought directly to your site to test and calibrate your flow meters. This minimises your production downtime and reduces transport costs.

Our calibration ensures process accuracy by comparing the ‘unit under test’ (customers device) against the master reference under controlled conditions. These services support various flow technologies and pipe connections, offering quick, on-site validation.

Flowy, our mobile flow calibration rig, brings reliable, accurate, certified flow calibration to your site.

How It Works

  • On-Site Setup: Our flow specialists will arrive with the mobile rig securely housed in a VW Transporter. Upon arrival, the rig will be unloaded and positioned at a location specified by the customer.

  • Closed-Loop or In-Situ: Primarily we will utilise the flow-rig in a closed loop system which involves the removal of the flow meter (either by our flow specialists or the customer) and placed onto the rig. In-situ can be carried out but we recommend a site survey first so we can determine the connection types and volume of water required.

  • Reference Standard: A highly accurate, traceable master meter (Endress and Hauser Coriolis) compares its readings to the device being tested.

  • Certification: A formal report and certificate are issued, documenting the meter’s performance.

Rig Capabilities

  • Calibration range of 200LPH to 50,000LPH.

  • Calibration accuracy of +/-0.1% o.r.

  • Small 100L water tank to minimise water wastage.

  • VSD controlled pump to enable repeatable and stable flows.

A portable flowmeter calibration rig is set up in a workshop, featuring two horizontal stainless steel pipe sections, blue hoses, a water tank, a pump, and a control unit, with the back of a van visible in the background.

Key Benefits

  • Reduced Downtime: No need to remove and ship meters off-site.

  • Cost Savings: Eliminates transport costs and logistical hassles.

  • Convenience & Flexibility: Ideal for multiple sites or large equipment.

  • High Accuracy: Uses leading-edge reference devices, ensuring reliable data.

  • Versatility: Calibrates multiple flow types (Coriolis, EMF, Vortex) and connection types (flanged, hygienic).
