Role Overview
This position sits within the Engineering Sales Team. The successful candidate will develop sales across Electroserv full portfolio in a field-based customer facing role and cover accounts across process industries including aerospace, food, beverage, chemical, pharmaceutical, oil and gas.

Key Responsibilities
The Sales Engineer will work with representatives, distributors, value-added resellers, and direct accounts to achieve respective financial goals established as part of the overall Electroserv sales plan. The Sales Engineer must be willing to travel to meet customers face to face and directly sell, promote, and service all products in the Electroserv portfolio within the defined region. Specific duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- Carry out on site sales visits to existing and prospective customers and develop relationships.
- Work with direct customers to maximise sales of products and services within the region of focus.
- Identify and develop new sales channel opportunities.
- Manage sales channel conflicts.
- Work with existing accounts and develop new accounts and relationships to grow sales.
- Take leadership role in major customer agreements and sales opportunities.
- Provide regular sales forecasts for the region of focus.
- Track and report project sales opportunities and interface with others on project pursuits.
- Visit and service customers and assist in bidding large projects.
- Recommend, recruit, and manage day-to-day opportunities of internal sales channels.
- Document day-to-day customer communications in company-wide CRM.
- Provide sales feedback to Electroserv marketing on competitive information, required product(s), features, and new market opportunities.
- Work with Electroserv marketing to regionally promote new and existing products to maximise sales.
Key Responsibilities and Experience
- The candidate should an engineering background with exposure to electrical engineering.
- A good understanding of Process Instrumentation, calibration of instrumentation, to understand how these systems function as part of a production facility.
- Full driving licence as the role is fully field based.
- Understand and experience of selling into process industries, selling Control Instrumentation and Automation products, an appreciation of measurement techniques & communication protocols.
Desirable
- Endress + Hauser product knowledge, Eurotherm product knowledge, automation products, selling calibration or inspection services.
- Having experience in selling calibration and inspection services such as DSEAR would be of benefit.
- NVQ Level 3 (electrical installations) or alternative evidence of skill set qualifications.
